Zeeland Little League has created Umpire Cards that are available at each Equipment Shed with the rest of the umpire gear. These cards contain important information about each division of baseball and softball that pertains to the game the umpire is working. These cards are meant to clarify specific house rules, such as stealing restrictions, run limits, and coach pitch situations. Umpires still need a good knowledge of the Rule Book and Mechanics, but these cards are meant for umpires to bring with them to games for quick refreshers on the nuances in each league.
It is highly recommended you review this card with coaches from each team before the start of the game. This way, everyone is on the same page before the game starts! This is essentially what the "pre-game" meeting should be.
